Ancient civilisations believed the earth mother was creator of all things and she was worshipped in the form of dance, song and music. Belly dance evolved from this worship and was associated with child birth rituals. With time it travelled and took different forms but still today the movements of belly dance allow us to reawaken our inner selves and regain the spiritual energies of the body, mind and soul. Belly dancing enables women to re-establish the lost link to their creativity, from which many have been disconnected for centuries.

You will learn to use your body efficiently, improve balance, co-ordination, flexibility, strength, help digestion and help relieve period pain.

Belly dance is for everyone and is not strict, you can learn the basics to suit your body shape and ability.
